After 38 years, Mr. Moses Smucker, President of Smuckers Harness Shop, will be retiring from the business and begin pursuing other interests such as the auction business and possibly other ventures.
His son Daniel will continue to make custom harness on a full or part-time basis, under the name D. M. Smucker Leatherworks. He will be manufacturing the Fine Deluxe, Fine Super Deluxe & the "Draft Show" harness. He will also be doing repairs & custom leather work. His contact # is 717-278-6530.
A few of our employees are buying the rights to manufacture the Smucker's leather Deluxe, Super Deluxe & Mara-tation harness & the Synthetic Pleasure, Deluxe & Mara-tation harness. These harnesses will be available through the selected dealers listed below.
The Smucker's Harness Shop building is now available for rent. It is located on Route 23 in the village of Churchtown
just 4.3 miles east of the intersection of Routes 23 and 322 and
4 miles west from Exit 298 off the PA Turnpike (Morgantown exit).
